Nine Impersonators Arrested During NEET Re-Test in Bihar; 30 Held Overall

In a major action during the NEET UG re-examination in Bihar, the district administration and police have arrested 30 people, including nine individuals who were allegedly impersonating genuine candidates at multiple examination centres in Lakhisarai district.

According to officials, the arrests were made at three exam centres: KRK High School, Kendriya Vidyalaya, and Hasanpur School. One impersonator was caught at KRK High School, seven at Kendriya Vidyalaya, and one at Hasanpur School. The arrested individuals are reported to be from different districts of Bihar.

Apart from the nine impersonators, 21 others have been arrested for suspected involvement in the examination fraud network. Authorities are investigating their roles in the scheme.

The arrested accused are being interrogated under the supervision of Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Prabhakar Kumar and Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Shivam Kumar. Based on information gathered during questioning, a special police team has been conducting raids at possible locations linked to the case.

District Magistrate Shailendra Kumar and Superintendent of Police Prerna Kumar are personally monitoring the investigation. Officials suspect that more individuals may be involved, and further action is anticipated after the probe is completed.

SDPO Shivam Kumar confirmed that 30 people were arrested during the NEET re-examination, with nine appearing on behalf of other candidates and 21 connected to the fraud.

The administration has not released additional details as the investigation is ongoing. Authorities stated that the full extent of the network will be revealed once the inquiry is concluded.
