Mumbai University Extends UG and PG Admission Deadline to July 15, Postpones Exams Scheduled for July 6

The University of Mumbai (MU) has extended the deadline for admissions to undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and four-year undergraduate degree programmes for the 2026–27 academic session. Eligible candidates can now complete the admission process through the university’s e-Samarth admission portal until July 15.

According to an official circular issued by the university, all admission formalities must be completed between July 4 and July 15, 2026. Affiliated colleges have been instructed to complete the entire admission process within the same timeline. The university has further clarified that applicants must submit the required online or offline application forms of the colleges where they are seeking admission, in addition to completing the university admission process.

In a separate development, the university has also postponed examinations that were scheduled for July 6. New dates for these exams will be announced in due course. The decision to postpone the exams was taken in light of the extended admission timeline and to ensure smooth coordination between admission and examination schedules.

The extension provides relief to students who were unable to complete their admission formalities due to various reasons. The university has urged all students to use the additional time to carefully complete their applications and ensure all necessary documents are uploaded correctly.

For further details, candidates are advised to regularly check the official university website and the e-Samarth portal for updates.
