Mumbai: In a swift act of alertness, a police constable at Dadar railway station saved a man from being struck by a moving local train late on Thursday night. The incident occurred around 10:54 pm on the platform and was captured on CCTV cameras. Footage of the rescue has since gone viral on social media.

According to police, the man, a 28-year-old, had allegedly tried to take his own life by getting beneath the train as it began pulling out. Police constable A. Narwade, who was on duty, spotted the man and immediately ran towards him. She grabbed his legs and pulled him off the tracks within seconds, preventing a potential tragedy.

Railway officials noted that the train had just started moving, making the constable's quick reflexes crucial. The entire rescue lasted only a few seconds, as seen in the CCTV footage.
