PM Modi says he wants to forgive those who abused him: In a video posted on his X and Instagram handles, Prime Minister Narendra Modi referred to an incident at Jantar Mantar where abusive language was used against him and his late mother. He said, "What happened in Jantar Mantar, the country and the world witnessed it. Some mischievous children used abusive language that doesn't dignify any civilised society. They not only abused me but even my late mother." Modi said one could make an error of judgment during youth but such mistakes could be corrected. "I understand the anger in our society. There is a cultural shock about our daughters using such language. This is the time to hug them and show them the right path…I want to forgive them," he added.

Migrant worker killed, another injured in terror attack in J&K's Kulgam: Suspected terrorists shot dead a migrant worker and injured another in a targeted attack in south Kashmir's Kulgam on Friday evening. This is the second targeted attack in the region since July 22. A senior police officer said two workers were fired upon in Kilam. "One died and another was being operated," the officer said. Officials said the injured person was taken to the Government Medical College, Anantnag for advanced treatment.
