Mahesh Tutorials Closes Multiple Branches in Mumbai, Leaving Students in Limbo

Mumbai's well-known coaching institute, Mahesh Tutorials (MT), has abruptly shut down several branches, leaving hundreds of students and parents uncertain at the beginning of the new academic year. Parents have reported that classes have been suspended for over a week without any official communication from the institute's management.

According to parents who attended meetings called by the institute, they were informed that the centres had been closed permanently. They were also told that another coaching centre, Arihant Academy, had agreed to accommodate the affected students without charging any additional fees.

“We still haven’t received any official communication from the MT management. Although representatives of Arihant Academy were present at the meetings and assured us that our children would be accommodated, we feel cheated. We have no option but to continue with Arihant Academy because most of us have already paid a substantial portion of the fees,” said a parent who attended one of the meetings.

The closures have raised questions about the financial stability of the institute and the lack of prior notice to students and parents. Many parents have already paid fees for the academic year and are now concerned about the quality of education at the new institution.

Efforts to contact Mahesh Tutorials for a comment have not yielded a response. The institute has not issued any public statement regarding the closures or the transfer of students to Arihant Academy.
