India suffer second consecutive T20I series loss, set unwanted records against England

India lost their second consecutive Twenty20 International (T20I) series for the first time in seven years, after England defeated them in the fourth match of the series at the County Ground in Bristol on Thursday night.

Batting first, India managed only 158 for seven in 20 overs, two days after a humiliating 125-run defeat in Nottingham. In response, England captain Harry Brook led his side to victory in under 14 overs, remaining unbeaten on 79 off 35 balls.

The defending world champions set several unwanted records with this loss. This is the first time in seven years that India have lost back-to-back T20I series. Additionally, the margin of defeat — with England winning with 6.1 overs to spare — was one of the biggest in terms of balls remaining for India in T20Is.

India's batting has been a concern throughout the series, with the top order failing to post competitive totals. The team will look to regroup ahead of the final match of the series.
