IED Found and Defused in Controlled Blast in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri District

Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district safely disposed of an improvised explosive device (IED) through a controlled detonation on Monday evening, officials confirmed on Tuesday.

The explosive was discovered by an army search party in the village of Argi Dalhori late on July 20, 2026. A bomb disposal squad (BDS) was immediately deployed to the location.

The team conducted a controlled explosion at 10 p.m., neutralising the device without causing any casualties or damage to property, according to officials.

This incident underscores the continued security challenges in the region, where security forces regularly conduct search operations to prevent militant activities.
