The application fee is non-refundable and must be paid online. Candidates in the General and Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories are required to pay Rs 850. For Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates, the fee is Rs 175. Applications submitted without the fee will not be considered.

The selection process consists of three stages: the Preliminary examination, the Mains examination, and a Local Language Proficiency Test. The Preliminary exam is scheduled for October 10 and 11, 2026. Candidates who qualify in the prelims will be eligible to appear for the Mains exam, which is tentatively scheduled for December 27, 2026.
