Guruvayur temple to launch virtual queue from August 4, complying with High Court order
The Guruvayur Sreekrishna temple will introduce a virtual queue system for devotees starting August 4, following a directive from the Kerala High Court. The facility will initially be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Under the new system, devotees can book darshan slots online, with each booking allowing up to six persons. The temple will permit 300 devotees per hour through the virtual queue, enabling approximately 2,400 people to have darshan on those days.
The Guruvayur Devaswom, which manages the temple, stated that the initiative aims to streamline crowd management and make the darshan process more convenient. The system will operate on a trial basis initially, with a review scheduled before any expansion.
