Godrej Group Secures ₹6 Crore Security Contract for Bhogapuram International Airport

The Security Solutions business of Godrej Enterprises Group (GEG) has been awarded contracts valued at approximately ₹6 crore from GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Limited and Larsen & Toubro. The contracts cover the deployment of integrated security systems at the upcoming Bhogapuram International Airport in Andhra Pradesh, a greenfield project under development.

Under the agreement, Godrej will supply and install a range of advanced security equipment, including blocking bollards, boom barriers, under-vehicle scanning systems, turnstiles, swing lane barriers, explosive vapour and liquid detectors, non-linear junction detectors, bomb disposal suits, and real-time viewing systems. The aim is to strengthen threat detection and access management at the airport.

Pushkar Gokhale, Business Head of GEG’s Security Solutions, stated that the mandate from GMR and L&T validates the company’s technological capabilities and execution excellence in enabling secure airport operations. The project involves collaboration with airport authorities and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), which is responsible for airport security in India.

GEG has previously supplied security systems to several major airports across the country, including Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram, Ahmedabad, and Kochi. The Bhogapuram contract further expands Godrej’s presence in the aviation security sector, according to a company release issued on Thursday.
