Fugitive in Bengaluru Triple Murder Captured in Puducherry

In a significant development in the KR Puram triple murder case, the Bengaluru police have taken Kenneth, the prime accused, into custody in Puducherry. Kenneth was arrested late on June 25 following sustained technical surveillance and investigation, officials said.

The murders occurred late on June 22 in an apartment at Seegehalli under KR Puram police station limits in east Bengaluru. The victims were a 55-year-old man, his wife, and their younger daughter.

According to police sources, after the alleged killings, Kenneth and co-accused Shweta fled separately to evade detection. They travelled to Puducherry by different routes. The police first traced Shweta and detained her in Puducherry. Subsequently, based on technical evidence and continuous tracking, they located Kenneth.

Kenneth is expected to be brought to Bengaluru for further interrogation. Police plan to question both Kenneth and Shweta to establish the sequence of events, ascertain the motive behind the killings, and determine the role of each accused in the crime.

The case had generated widespread public attention due to the brutal nature of the murders. The police have not yet disclosed the possible motive. Investigations are ongoing.
