Four injured after petrol attack at Vembayam bar
In an incident at a bar in Vembayam, on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, four men sustained burn injuries after a man allegedly poured petrol on a group and set them on fire. The incident occurred on Sunday night.
According to bar staff, the man entered the executive lounge where a group was drinking, then left and returned with a bottle of petrol. He poured it over the group and ignited it, causing a fire that damaged the lounge. The alleged attacker is also among the injured.
All four injured individuals have been admitted to the Government Medical College Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. Their identities have not yet been confirmed.
Fire and Rescue personnel from nearby stations arrived quickly and extinguished the blaze, preventing it from spreading to other parts of the building. Police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
