In the decisive third One-Day International (ODI) against India on Sunday, England posted a formidable total of 387 for 3, driven by a commanding opening partnership between Ben Duckett and Jacob Bethell.

Duckett scored 141 runs off 135 balls, including 18 fours and a six, while Bethell contributed 91 from 93 deliveries, with 11 fours and two sixes. Together, they added 192 runs for the first wicket, keeping Indian bowlers wicketless for over 30 overs.

Joe Root remained unbeaten on 74 off just 48 balls, striking nine fours, and captain Jos Buttler smashed a rapid 41 not out from 13 balls, with four fours and three sixes. For India, Arshdeep Singh was the pick of the bowlers, taking 2 for 72 in his 10 overs.

The series, level at 1-1 heading into this match, now hinges on India's response to this imposing target.
