Eight Andhra youth land jobs in Italy through state skill programme

The Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC), in collaboration with the Overseas Manpower Company Andhra Pradesh Limited (OMCAP), has selected eight youth from the state for employment opportunities in Italy. The selected candidates visited the APSSDC head office near Vijayawada on Tuesday to meet with officials before their departure.

The candidates interacted with G. Ganesh Kumar, Managing Director and CEO of APSSDC, and Vemuri Ravi Kumar, Chairman and CEO of APNRT. They expressed gratitude for the overseas placement and the guidance provided throughout the recruitment process.

As part of the initiative, OMCAP conducted a comprehensive Pre-Departure Orientation Training (PDOT) for all candidates. The training covered travel procedures, workplace ethics, legal rights and responsibilities, cultural orientation, financial literacy, safety measures, and adaptation to life in Italy, ensuring the candidates are well prepared for their international careers.

APNRT provided complimentary insurance coverage under the Pravasa Bhima scheme for all eight candidates. The scheme, facilitated under Mr. Vemuri Ravi Kumar's leadership, aims to offer social security and financial protection to Andhra Pradesh migrants working overseas.

Congratulating the candidates, Mr. Ganesh Kumar and Mr. Ravi Kumar wished them a safe journey and successful professional careers in Italy. They encouraged the candidates to work with dedication, uphold professionalism and integrity, and serve as proud ambassadors of Andhra Pradesh and India.

APSSDC, OMCAP, and APNRT have been working to provide end-to-end support through skill development, overseas placement facilitation, pre-departure orientation, and migrant welfare services.
