DGCA-ordered probe finds no fault in Dreamliner fuel switch after crew report

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) ordered a probe into a reported issue with the fuel control switch locking mechanism on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which has now found no abnormality. The investigation was initiated after a crew reported a problem following a landing. The switches control fuel supply and have been under scrutiny after a past crash incident involving similar systems.

A Boeing probe examined the specific fuel control switch and concluded that it functioned normally. However, as a precautionary measure, the complete thrust control module has been sent to the original equipment manufacturer's facility for further inspection. The DGCA has confirmed that the aircraft is safe to operate and that no immediate threat exists.

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner, a long-haul wide-body aircraft, is known for its fuel efficiency and advanced systems.
