Delhi University Opens SOL, DDCE Admissions for 2026-27; New Courses Introduced

The University of Delhi has announced the start of admissions for the 2026-27 academic session for its Department of Distance and Continuing Education (DDCE), School of Open Learning (SOL), and Campus of Open Learning (COL). Applications are open for all undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered through these distance education modes.

Students wishing to apply can do so through the official SOL admission portal. A notable addition this year is the integration of a WhatsApp API feature, as announced by Payal Mago, Director of COL. Through this system, applicants will receive one-time passwords (OTPs) and other admission-related updates directly on their registered WhatsApp numbers, streamlining communication.

In a development aimed at expanding academic offerings, the SOL will introduce two new courses from the 2026-27 session: an MBA in Healthcare and a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Computer Science. These programmes are designed to meet growing demands in the healthcare and technology sectors.

The move is expected to benefit a large number of students seeking flexible learning options. The university has urged candidates to submit applications before the deadline, details of which are available on the admission portal.
