Delhi Police Arrest Three Suspected Gang Members for Alleged Planned Attack

New Delhi: Delhi Police's Rohini District Special Staff has arrested three individuals believed to be shooters associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi organised crime network, officials said on Sunday. The suspects were reportedly planning a targeted killing, according to the police.

The arrested individuals are alleged to have been receiving instructions from a network operating abroad and were preparing to carry out the attack. Police stated that the suspects are wanted in connection with several criminal cases in Delhi and have previously been involved in targeted shootings.

This arrest follows a recent incident in which two alleged shooters linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi-Hariram (Harry) Boxer gang were killed in a police encounter in Bahadurgarh, Haryana. Those individuals, identified as Pravesh and Himanshu, were wanted for the murder of a gym owner in Hansi on June 11, which was captured on CCTV.

The Lawrence Bishnoi network has come under increased scrutiny due to its alleged international connections. The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) recently announced a reward of up to USD 50,000 for information leading to the arrest of Satinderjeet Singh alias Goldy Brar, who is wanted for his alleged involvement in the group's activities in the United States and Canada.

The FBI stated that Goldy Brar is based in the US and is the alleged leader of the group in North America. A federal arrest warrant was issued for Brar on July 1, 2026, on charges including racketeering, extortion conspiracy, and drug trafficking.

In a related development, US federal prosecutors have charged Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar for their alleged roles in organised criminal activities, including the alleged assassination of Khalistani separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Surrey, British Columbia, in 2023. These charges are part of 'Operation Hard Ball,' a US crackdown on India-based organised crime groups involved in violent crimes and international narcotics trafficking. The US Department of Justice has emphasised that an indictment is merely an allegation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
