Delhi Metro Shuts 16 Stations for 'Security Reasons' as Protest Continues

These closures follow a similar incident on Monday, July 20, 2026, when several metro stations were shut after thousands of protesters heeded the CJP’s call to march to Parliament. The protest, which has drawn significant crowds to central Delhi, is focused on allegations of irregularities in various examinations.
The DMRC has not provided a specific timeline for reopening the stations, advising commuters to plan their travel accordingly and use alternative routes or modes of transport.
