Delhi Fire: Blaze at Uttam Nagar electronic showroom contained, no casualties
A significant fire broke out early Tuesday morning at an electronic goods showroom in Delhi's Uttam Nagar area, prompting a large-scale emergency response. The blaze was reported around 4:30 am in the basement of a ground-plus-three-storey building and quickly spread across all floors, affecting an area of approximately 350 square yards.
The Delhi Fire Services deployed over 15 fire tenders and more than 75 firefighters to the scene. Firefighting efforts continued for several hours before the blaze was brought under control at 6:30 am, officials said.
Electronic goods, electrical items, furniture, and fixtures were extensively damaged. However, no casualties or injuries were reported. Rajinder Atwal, Divisional Fire Officer, confirmed that cooling operations were underway to prevent re-ignition.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined. Authorities have initiated an investigation to establish the sequence of events.
