Defence Minister Warns Future Conflicts Could Take Unconventional Forms
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has cautioned that future conflicts may not resemble traditional warfare, urging a re-evaluation of military strategies and preparedness. Speaking at an event, he emphasised the need to anticipate and adapt to emerging threats, including cyber warfare, artificial intelligence-driven attacks, and hybrid warfare tactics.
Singh highlighted that technological advancements are blurring the lines between conventional and unconventional warfare. He stressed the importance of investing in research and development to stay ahead of potential adversaries. The minister also called for greater collaboration between the armed forces and the defence industry to foster innovation.
His remarks come amid growing global concerns about the changing nature of conflicts, where state and non-state actors increasingly use asymmetric methods.
