Cyberabad Police Rescue 146 Children, Arrest 33 in Week-Long Drive
In a week-long enforcement drive from July 3 to July 9, the Cyberabad SHE Teams arrested 33 individuals for engaging in indecent acts in public places. Meanwhile, the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) rescued 146 children and registered 30 cases under the Juvenile Justice Act and child labour laws as part of Operation Muskaan.
According to the Cyberabad Women and Child Safety Wing, SHE Teams conducted 114 decoy operations across the commissionerate limits. Police registered 34 petty cases against the offenders, while the remaining individuals were counselled. The SHE Teams also received 13 complaints from women through various channels.
As part of Operation Muskaan, the Cyberabad AHTU rescued 146 children, including 144 boys and two girls, and registered 30 cases related to violations of the Juvenile Justice Act and child labour laws. Police said the rescued children were provided with necessary support and further action was initiated in accordance with the law.
The wing also facilitated the reunion of 21 estranged couples through family counselling centres and the Crime against Women and Children (CDEW) centres.
