Centre Tells Supreme Court: Nilekani Panel to Tackle NEET Online Security Issues
The Union government on Monday informed the Supreme Court that a high-level education reform committee headed by Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani will address technological challenges and data security concerns as the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) transitions from a pen-and-paper format to a computer-based test.
A two-judge bench of Justices P S Narasimha and Alok Aradhe was hearing petitions seeking the restructuring of the National Testing Agency (NTA), the body responsible for conducting NEET, the medical entrance examination.
During the previous hearing, the bench had cautioned that question papers could still be leaked in the online mode if adequate safeguards were not implemented.
