CBSE Date Sheet 2027: Candidate List Deadline Ends Today, Exam Dates Awaited
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the date sheet for the 2027 board examinations soon, although the board has not yet confirmed an official release date. Once published, the schedule will be available on the board's official website in PDF format.
October 21 is the last date for schools to submit the List of Candidates (LOC) and related details for the 2027 board examinations. The board has issued multiple reminders to schools, asking them to verify that candidate details are accurate, that subjects have been selected correctly, and that the LOC for every eligible student is submitted within the stipulated deadline. Schools have also been directed to pay the examination fee on time.
CBSE has further advised schools to ensure that staff responsible for entering candidate data are familiar with the prescribed guidelines, so that errors in the records can be avoided. Candidate details submitted at this stage form the basis for admit cards and subject-wise records, which makes accuracy important.
The date sheet itself will carry key information, including examination dates and timings, subject codes and subject names. For reference, in the previous examination cycle the board released a tentative date sheet on September 24 and the final date sheet on October 30, with examinations beginning on February 17. Those dates reflect last year's pattern and are not a guarantee that the same schedule will be followed this year. Students should treat only the official date sheet as final.
In line with the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, CBSE has been conducting two board examinations for Class 10 students from 2026 onwards. This change is relevant to students planning their preparation and revision schedules for the coming session.
To access the date sheet when it is released, students can visit the official CBSE website, locate the link for the Class 10 or Class 12 date sheet on the homepage, and download the PDF. Students are advised to rely on the official website and their own schools for confirmed information, and to be cautious about unverified circulars and screenshots circulating on social media, which the board has not issued.
Until the schedule is announced, students can continue revising according to their school's internal timelines and the prescribed syllabus. Schools are likely to share updates once the board formally releases the examination schedule. Any change in the release timeline will be communicated through official channels.
