CBSE Date Sheet 2027 Awaited: Class 10, 12 Exam Schedule Not Yet Announced
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has not yet released the date sheet for the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations for 2027. Students across the country are waiting for a confirmed schedule, which the board is expected to publish on its official website, cbse.gov.in, once it is finalised.
The announcement is running later than last year's timeline. In the previous cycle, CBSE issued a tentative date sheet on September 24 and the final date sheet on October 30. The board examinations began on February 17 last year. The 2027 examination dates may differ from those of the previous year, and the exact schedule will be confirmed only after the board releases the official date sheet.
The date sheet is published in PDF format and lists the examination dates and timings for each subject, along with subject codes and subject names. Once released, students will be able to download it from the CBSE website. Candidates are advised to rely on the official website and their schools for updates rather than unverified schedules circulating on social media or messaging platforms.
The board has, in line with the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, introduced two board examinations for Class 10 students from 2026 onwards. Students and parents should refer to the board's circulars for the specific rules applicable to their examination year.
The deadline for submitting the List of Candidates (LOC) ended on October 21. CBSE issued multiple reminders to schools, asking them to ensure that candidate details were accurate, subjects were selected correctly and the LOCs of all eligible students were submitted within the stipulated deadline. Schools were also instructed to pay examination fees on time. Earlier, the board had advised schools to review the relevant circulars before entering candidate details, and urged them to ensure that staff members responsible for data entry were familiar with the prescribed guidelines to avoid errors.
The LOC process is significant because it determines a student's registration for the board examination, including the subjects in which the candidate will appear. Errors at this stage can lead to difficulties later, which is why the board has repeatedly asked schools to verify details carefully.
Until the date sheet is published, students are advised to continue their preparation according to their school's internal schedule and to confirm examination-related information only through official CBSE channels or their schools. Schools generally share the date sheet with students as soon as it is notified.
This report will be updated once CBSE publishes the Class 10 and Class 12 date sheet for 2027.
