CBSE Class 10 Re-evaluation 2026: Online Link Now Active, Fees and Application Steps
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has activated the online application link for Class 10 answer book verification and re-evaluation for the 2026 board examinations. The facility is available for both the main and second board examinations on the official CBSE website. Students who wish to apply can access the link and submit their requests online.
Before applying, candidates are advised to review their scanned answer books through the candidate login. This allows them to compare their answers with the question paper and marking scheme. It is important to understand that the re-evaluation process may result in an increase, a decrease, or no change in marks. Therefore, students should consider this before submitting a request.
The CBSE has fixed the verification of marks fee at Rs 300 per subject and the re-evaluation fee at Rs 100 per subject. Students must pay the applicable fee online while submitting their request.
To apply for verification or re-evaluation, candidates need to follow these steps: Visit the official CBSE website at cbse.gov.in/newsite_old/rchk.html. Click on the apply link. Enter the answer book application ID, roll number, school number, centre number, and captcha code. Select the exam and subject for verification or re-evaluation. Choose the full question and mention the reason for the request. Pay the applicable fee and submit the request online. Candidates can check the status and result through the same candidate login account.
There are certain conditions that students must be aware of. Re-evaluation is conducted for the complete answer book, not a part of it. If a subject was taken in both the main and second board examinations, students can request verification or re-evaluation for only one answer book. Once an answer book from one examination is selected, another answer book for the same subject will not be accepted. The revised marks can increase, decrease, or remain unchanged. Even a decrease of one mark will be implemented. The outcome of the verification or re-evaluation process will be final.
Students are advised to visit the official CBSE website for any updates and to ensure they have accurate information. This facility provides an opportunity for students to have their answer books re-checked, but it is essential to apply within the given timeframe and follow the instructions carefully.
