CBSE Announces 99.7% of Class XII Re-evaluation Results, Rejects Student’s Claim as False
NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced on Sunday that it has declared outcomes for over 99.7% of applications received for verification and re-evaluation of Class XII 2026 results. The board also dismissed a claim made by a student on social media regarding a marks revision as “factually incorrect” and a “blatant lie”.
CBSE officials rebutted the claim of Vedant Shrivastav, who posted a video alleging that he had seen an increase of only two marks and that no marks were increased in the “exchanged answer sheets”. The board clarified that the student’s assertion was not based on facts.
The board stated that results for applications for “verification of issues observed and re-evaluation” have been released in batches since June 21. The remaining cases are in the final stages of processing and are expected to be declared within a few days.
CBSE also drew a comparison with the timeline of the previous year, 2025, to highlight the efficiency of the current process. The clarification comes amid controversy surrounding the board’s Online Self-Assessment and Marks (OSM) system, which was introduced for Class XII this year.
The board urged students and parents to rely only on official communications and not on unverified social media posts.
