Azim Premji Scholarship: ₹30,000 per Year for 20,000 Girls in Higher Education
The Azim Premji Foundation on Tuesday announced the launch of the Azim Premji Scholarship for Girls, a significant initiative aimed at supporting up to 20,000 girls this year to pursue higher education. Under the programme, each selected student will receive ₹30,000 per year, beginning from the first year of college and continuing until she completes her undergraduate degree or diploma.

To be eligible, a student must have completed Classes 10 and 12 in a government school in any of 21 States and Union Territories, including Karnataka. Anurag Behar, Chief Executive Officer of Azim Premji Foundation, confirmed the details of the scholarship in a statement. He emphasised that the application process is completely online and free, and submissions can only be made through the official website of the Azim Premji Foundation. This digital-first approach is intended to make the process accessible and transparent for applicants from diverse backgrounds.
