AP EAPCET 2026: Over 1.82 Lakh Clear Engineering, Girls Surpass Boys in Pass Percentage
The Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (AP EAPCET) 2026 results have been announced, with 1,82,317 candidates qualifying in the Engineering stream and 63,546 in the Agriculture and Pharmacy stream. Human Resource Development Minister Nara Lokesh announced the results on Wednesday, congratulating all successful candidates.
In the Engineering stream, 70.52% of candidates qualified, while the Agriculture and Pharmacy stream recorded an 89.59% pass percentage. Notably, girl students outperformed boys in the Engineering stream, achieving a pass rate of 71.65% compared to 69.63% for boys. Minister Lokesh described this as a matter of pride for the state, stating, 'Your success powers Andhra Pradesh’s future.'
The exam was conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU)-Kakinada on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). A total of 2,76,572 candidates registered for the Engineering stream, of which 2,58,545 appeared, resulting in a 70.52% success rate. In the Agriculture and Pharmacy stream, 79,231 registered, 70,929 appeared, and 63,546 qualified, yielding an 89.59% pass rate.
The entrance test was held from May 12 to 15 and May 18 to 20, 2026, in two sessions each day across 141 test centres in 25 districts of Andhra Pradesh, with one additional centre in Hyderabad. After releasing a preliminary answer key on May 25 and considering objections from candidates, an expert committee prepared the final key before processing the results.
A gender-wise breakdown reveals that in the Engineering stream, 81,473 girls qualified at a 71.65% pass rate, while 1,00,844 boys qualified at 69.63%. In the Agriculture and Pharmacy stream, 48,839 girls and 14,707 boys qualified, with pass percentages of 89.40% and 90.22% respectively.
Minister Lokesh informed that candidates can download their rank cards from the AP EAPCET portal (cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/EAPCET) and also access results through the state government’s WhatsApp Governance service by sending a message to 9552300009.
