Andhra Pradesh Minister T.G. Bharath Woos US Investors, Touts State's 25% Share of National Investments
Andhra Pradesh Industries and Commerce Minister T.G. Bharath is currently in the United States, meeting industrialists and entrepreneurs to attract investments to the state. The minister is highlighting opportunities and assuring investors of full cooperation from the state government.
In New York, Mr. Bharath met representatives of Essar Capital to discuss investment opportunities across various sectors. He informed them that Andhra Pradesh has attracted 25% of the total investments flowing into the country. Guided by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu's vision, the state aims to become a global leader, and Mr. Bharath requested Essar Capital to partner in the state's development.
The minister also held discussions with representatives of Southern Roots. In a social media post, Mr. Bharath expressed delight that Southern Roots will soon establish a state-of-the-art pecan shelling and food processing unit in Andhra Pradesh. He described the project as the beginning of a larger vision to develop a dedicated pecan processing and value-addition cluster in India.
Under the leadership of Mr. Naidu, Andhra Pradesh is rapidly emerging as a preferred destination for food processing and agri-based industries, Mr. Bharath said. The pecan unit is expected to catalyse the growth of an entire ecosystem by attracting ancillary industries, strengthening the supply chain, creating large-scale employment, boosting exports, and generating greater value for farmers and local entrepreneurs.
