Andhra Pradesh launches 'Mission March SSC-2027' to push for 100% pass rate in Class X exams
The Andhra Pradesh School Education Department has launched 'Mission March SSC-2027: A Leap Towards 100% Success – Action Plan Phase-1' to improve learning outcomes and achieve a 100% pass rate in the SSC Public Examinations-2027. The initiative will be implemented in all government schools across the state from July 13 to November 30, 2026.
The programme aims to strengthen students' academic preparedness through competency-based learning, aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023, and assessment guidelines from PARAKH, the assessment regulator under the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).
As part of the initiative, schools will conduct a dedicated academic support session every working day from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. During these sessions, teachers will focus on subject revision, competency-based practice, and daily slip tests to assess learning progress and identify areas needing improvement.
The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Andhra Pradesh, will provide daily study schedules, question banks, study materials, and slip tests through the LEAP App and the board's official website. This will enable students to access digital learning resources regularly.
The programme adopts a differentiated learning strategy by grouping students according to their learning levels. Students requiring additional support will be placed under the 'Rising Stars' category, with an emphasis on strengthening foundational knowledge and achieving minimum learning competencies. Advanced learners will be grouped under 'Shining Stars', with a focus on developing higher-order thinking and analytical skills.
Teachers are responsible for continuously monitoring students' progress, providing remedial coaching to slow learners, mentoring high-performing students, and maintaining systematic records of each student's performance. Headmasters and School Education Department officials will regularly review implementation to ensure effective execution across schools.
Director of School Education A. Tameem Ansariya stated that the competency-based learning initiative aims to build students' confidence and prepare them for future academic challenges. She appealed to teachers, parents, and stakeholders to actively participate in the programme so that every Class X student is well-prepared to excel in the SSC Public Examinations-2027.
