Andhra Pradesh Draft Rolls Show 3.71 Crore Voters; Objections Open Till Aug 30
The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Andhra Pradesh, Vivek Yadav, has announced that the total number of voters in the State stands at 3,71,38,182 as per the draft Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, prepared as on July 24, 2026. The announcement was made through an official press release on Tuesday.
The revised figure includes 1,82,06,954 male electors, 1,89,28,492 female electors and 2,736 electors belonging to the third gender. In addition, the draft rolls contain 64,502 service electors, who are registered as voters despite being posted away from their home constituencies.
The current draft marks a reduction of 44,89,512 from the pre-SIR stage, when the total number of electors was 4,16,27,694. This drop accounts for absentees, shifted residents, deceased persons, duplicate entries and enumeration forms that could not be collected during the door-to-door verification drive.
The Special Intensive Revision is a comprehensive exercise conducted by the Election Commission to update the electoral rolls. In Andhra Pradesh, the enumeration process was carried out between June 15 and July 24, 2026. During this period, officials visited households to collect fresh data from electors. The CEO has clarified that those who missed submitting their filled-in enumeration forms within this timeframe can still file Form-6, along with the prescribed declaration documents, for inclusion in the voters' list.
The claims and objections period will commence on July 31 and remain open until August 30, 2026. This window allows citizens to submit requests for additions, deletions, corrections and other changes. The final electoral rolls will be published on October 3, 2026, after all claims and objections are resolved.
Different forms have been prescribed for various categories. Overseas Indians seeking to be included in the electoral rolls must file Form-6A. Individuals who wish to object to a proposed inclusion or seek deletion of an existing entry are required to use Form-7. Existing electors who have shifted residence within or outside a constituency, need corrections in their details, require replacement of their Electors’ Photo Identity Cards (EPIC) without any correction, or want to be marked as Persons with Disability (PWD) must submit Form-8.
For verification purposes, the draft photo electoral rolls can be inspected at the offices of Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs). They are also available with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) across all Assembly constituencies. Additionally, voters can view the rolls online on the CEO Andhra Pradesh website (https://ceoandhra.nic.in), the ECINET mobile app, and the Election Commission of India’s official portal (https://voters.eci.gov.in).
Officials have urged all electors, political parties and civil society groups to use the claims and objections window to ensure the accuracy of the final electoral rolls. The upcoming revision is expected to streamline the voter database, making it more reliable for future elections in the State.
