Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday reviewed the assistance efforts for victims of a boat accident in Vietnam and directed officials to expedite the return of affected tourists and the mortal remains of those who died.

During the review meeting, officials informed the Chief Minister that Gelle Kishore, who was injured in the accident, is currently undergoing treatment at a government hospital in Vietnam. They stated that his condition is gradually improving and he is receiving necessary medical care.

Officials also told the Chief Minister that the Indian Embassy in Vietnam has engaged an agency to facilitate the handover and transportation of the bodies of the deceased. The process of completing formalities and transporting the mortal remains to their native places has already begun.

The Chief Minister was further informed that arrangements had been made to fly the survivors back to their hometowns on Sunday. Officials said that the air tickets for the stranded passengers were arranged by the concerned mobile service provider.

Mr. Naidu directed Andhra Pradesh Bhavan officials to extend all necessary assistance until every affected person returns safely to India and the transportation of the mortal remains is completed.
