AICTE Opens Scholarship Portal for J&K and Ladakh Students; Applications Close Today

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has activated the online portal for the Special Scholarship Scheme for Students of Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh (SSSJKL). The scheme, part of the Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan (PM-USP) Yojana, aims to support students pursuing higher education.

According to AICTE, students who have passed Class 12 or hold an engineering diploma are eligible to apply. The registration process opened on July 16 for Class 12 students and July 17 for diploma holders, and is scheduled to close today. Candidates are advised to complete their applications before the deadline.

After submitting online applications, students must visit the nearest Facilitation-cum-Document Verification Centres (FDVCs) before July 30 for document verification. This step is mandatory to finalize the scholarship process.

The scholarship provides financial assistance to eligible students from the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. While specific amounts were not detailed in the announcement, the scheme is designed to cover tuition fees and other educational expenses.

Interested candidates can apply through the official portal: aicte-jk-scholarship-gov.in. AICTE urges all eligible students to meet the deadline and complete verification to avail the benefits.
