AI Advances in Women's Healthcare: Experts Showcase Early Diagnosis and Surgical Precision

Hyderabad, July 12 — Artificial Intelligence (AI) is poised to transform women's healthcare by enabling earlier diagnosis, improving clinical decisions, enhancing surgical precision, and expanding access to specialist care, experts stated at FEHMICON 2026. The two-day academic conference, organised by FehmiCare Hospital, was held on July 11 and 12, focusing on AI applications in obstetrics and gynaecology.

The event included a hands-on workshop at FehmiCare Hospital on the first day, followed by a national Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme. Approximately 50 doctors received demonstrations on AI-powered tools designed for routine clinical practice. Sessions covered clinical documentation, patient communication, research, medical education, clinical decision support, and workflow management.

Dr. Syed Mohammed Ghouse, Consultant Robotic and Transplant Surgeon at the Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology, delivered the keynote address on telesurgery. Dr. L. Fahmida Banu, the organising chairperson, presented on current AI applications in clinical practice and their role in enhancing surgical precision, safety, and outcomes.
