Agra lawyer files case against Kangana Ranaut over 'gutter' remark on NEET protesters
A lawyer in Agra has filed a criminal complaint against actor and Bharatiya Janata Party MP Kangana Ranaut for her alleged remark describing NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) protesters as a 'generation gutter'. The complaint, filed in a local court, accuses Ranaut of using derogatory language that the lawyer says is defamatory and amounts to hate speech against students.
The remark reportedly came amid nationwide protests by medical aspirants who are demanding a re-test after allegations of paper leaks and other irregularities in the NEET-UG examination.
