Adani Group’s ₹2,500-Crore Defence Plant Gets Foundation in Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia laid the foundation stone for a defence manufacturing plant in Shivpuri district on Sunday (July 5, 2026). The unit, being set up by Adani Defence and Aerospace at a cost of approximately ₹2,500 crore, is expected to boost the region's industrial growth.

According to officials, the plant will include a missile complex, a composite propellant complex, and a TNT complex. It aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of self-reliance under the Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India initiatives.

The facility is projected to create direct and indirect employment opportunities, particularly for local residents. Small and medium enterprises in the region are expected to benefit from linkages to the defence production supply chain.

Karan Adani and Jeet Adani, representing the Adani Group, also attended the foundation-laying ceremony. During the event, Mr Yadav and Mr Scindia inaugurated and performed groundbreaking for development projects worth ₹211.29 crore.
