Adani Enterprises Reports Record Quarterly EBITDA of Rs 5,642 Crore

Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL) announced on Wednesday a quarterly earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) of Rs 5,642 crore for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027 (Q1 FY27), a 49% increase compared to the same period last year. The company's total income for the quarter stood at Rs 33,546 crore, also up by 50% year-on-year.

Profit before tax (PBT), excluding a settlement of Rs 2,644 crore related to the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), was Rs 1,295 crore for the quarter. The EBITDA from Adani Airports rose by 49% year-on-year to Rs 1,633 crore, according to a statement from the flagship Adani Group company.

The company attributed the strong performance to the growing scale and maturity of its infrastructure and incubation platforms. Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, said, 'Adani Enterprises has begun FY27 with an exceptionally strong performance, delivering its highest-ever quarterly EBITDA of Rs 5,642 crore, driven by the growing scale and maturity of our infrastructure and incubation platforms.'

Key milestones during the quarter included the commencement of international operations at Navi Mumbai International Airport, toll collections on the Ganga Expressway, expansion of solar module capacity, and a major new hyperscale data centre order. The company also completed a Rs 15,000 crore qualified institutional placement (QIP), reflecting institutional confidence in its strategy.

AEL's copper business contributed Rs 749 crore to EBITDA during the quarter as capacity ramped up. Adani New Industries commissioned a new 1.7 GW module line, and Navi Mumbai Airport started international operations from July 15. Toll collections on the Ganga Expressway began from May 15.

The company stated that with a strong infrastructure platform built through a disciplined investment cycle, AEL is positioned to benefit from increased capacity utilisation and operational efficiencies, which are expected to translate into meaningful financial outcomes for shareholders.
