6.2 Magnitude Earthquake in Afghanistan Sends Tremors Across Northern India
A strong earthquake of magnitude 6.2 struck Afghanistan on Saturday, causing tremors felt in Delhi-NCR and other parts of northern India, according to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).
The earthquake occurred at 7:04 AM IST at a depth of 215 kilometres below the surface. Mild tremors were also reported in Jammu and Kashmir.
No immediate reports of damage or casualties have been received. The NCS continues to monitor the situation.
