39 Amarnath Yatra Pilgrims Injured as Bus Crashes into House in Ganderbal
Thirty-nine pilgrims on the Amarnath Yatra were injured on Tuesday when their bus skidded off the road and crashed into a house in Jammu and Kashmir's Ganderbal district, officials said.
The accident occurred as the driver lost control while negotiating a sharp curve. The bus, reported to be speeding, veered off the road and struck a house, which prevented the vehicle from plunging into the Sindh river below.
Most of the injured sustained minor injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. No one was inside the house at the time of the crash, officials confirmed.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident. The condition of the injured is reported to be stable.
