19-year-old NEET aspirant dies after fall from building in Indore

Indore: A 19-year-old woman preparing for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) died after falling from a residential building late Thursday night. The incident occurred in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

The woman, identified as Avantika Maurya, was the daughter of a government doctor. She was taken to a private hospital and later transferred to MY Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries early Friday.

Family members stated that Maurya had been under stress due to multiple attempts to clear the medical entrance exam. Her death comes amid heightened anxiety among NEET aspirants following the cancellation of the May 3 exam due to allegations of a question paper leak.

The police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances. No further details have been released.
